Clear Top Tent Wedding at Home with Luscious Florals

Jen grew up with grandparents who worked in the flower growing and gardening industries in England, so she wanted to prioritize the flowers — and I was not going to say no to that! Knowing how much of an impact flowers make on the overall design, this couldn't have been a better decision -- especially for a couple who aren't afraid of colour!

After changes in date, venue, and even province, we re-envisioned the wedding design 3 months before the new date. What was originally to be a July wedding, and then a destination wedding in BC, was re-planned during Covid for August, back in Winnipeg. I was SO excited to get their email saying it was back on, in Winnipeg, and that I’d get to be a part of their day!

Organic Tent Wedding on Private Estate

Kristin and Sam’s organic tent wedding on his family’s private estate was a MAJOR highlight of 2020 for me! Their date was originally scheduled for late June, but they pushed it back into late August with a backup date on the calendar for 2021, as well. They ended up deciding to just go forward in August with as large of a guest list as they would be allowed to, and it turned out that it was scheduled for the perfect time, in that summertime covid lull.

Elegant Covid Tent Wedding with Peaches and Blues

Nicole and Colin’s backyard tent wedding was a really special one for me, because it was my first “full” wedding post-Covid. They were originally planning for 250+ guests at a large venue, but they were not interested in postponing. One month beforehand, they cut the guest list to about 35 people, and changed the plans to host both the ceremony and reception in Colin’s parents’ backyard in La Broquerie.

Nicole gave me total flexibility with the flowers, and basically just told me to surprise her. I decided on a palette of warm neutrals and was then surprised when I walked into the cooler at the wholesaler that week and found some eye-catching peach tones that I wanted to use — and I think they worked perfectly!
